Buttermilk Cornbread Recipe

Ingredients

½ cup butter ▢⅔ cup sugar ▢2 large eggs ▢1 cup buttermilk ▢½ teaspoon baking soda ▢1 cup cornmeal ▢1 cup all-purpose flour ▢¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Melt butter in the microwave and pour into a medium bowl.

Add eggs to the butter and whisk until blended in. Pour in buttermilk and baking soda and mix.

Add the remaining dry ingredients – cornmeal, flour and salt and mix well until no longer lumpy.

Pour this into a greased 8×8 inch pan and bake for 30-32 minutes
